A bright, high-ceilinged hall with modern facilities and many glass surfaces awaited the approx. 100 customers who followed the company’s invitation to the in-house exhibition at Friedrich-Münzinger-Straße at Metzingen business park. At the new showroom, housing a total of eight HELLER machining centres, visitors were able to learn more about the current used machine range whilst Managing Director Marcus Genkinger provided detailed insights into the expertise of the company which is a part of the HELLER Group. In addition to selling used machines, STS also specialises in the reconditioning, the so-called retrofit, of customers’ existing machines. Moreover, STS also offers brand-independent, mechanical and control modifications for machine tools and a knowledgeable customer service.
An evening full of entertainment and music with the band ‘Partyschwaben’
The two-day event was rounded off on Friday evening with a big party for the 250 guests and as well as family and friends as well as a speech by Dorothee Wörner, representing the town of Metzingen, and Peter Weber, member of the HELLER board of management. “What has been created here since
the founding of STS is really astonishing,” HELLER Managing Director Peter Weber congratulated the company. With the market seeing a reluctance to make investments, customers increasingly focus on the purchase of a used machine or the retrofit of an existing system. “To us, the sale of used machines is the perfect addition to our portfolio,” Weber said, emphasising the strategic significance of STS for the company group. In her speech, Dorothee Wörner of the Metzingen office for economic development stressed the great significance of medium-sized businesses for the town and the entire region and warmly congratulated the whole team of STS in the name of senior mayor Dr. Ulrich Fiedler on the successful inauguration. Following the official opening, entertainment was guaranteed with the band ‘Partyschwaben’, thoroughly enjoyed by the guests.
Constant growth is a proof of success
In total, STS employs more than 30 staff and has experienced constant growth since its foundation in Nürtingen in 2011. In 2013, the company moved to the new premises in the Erms valley. “With the new facilities we have clearly set the course for further growth. The inauguration event has already shown that we are on the right track,” STS Managing Director Marcus Genkinger said, drawing a positive conclusion from the event.
